The scientific and technological achievements of "Research and Product Development on Key Technologies for Improving Space Environmental Quality with light negative oxygen ions (LNOI)" completed by Guangdong Cosio Lighting Co., Ltd., School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering of South China University of Technology, and Fuzhou University National Environmental Photocatalytic Engineering Technology Research Center have been evaluated by experts. The comprehensive technical level of the project results has reached the international advanced level, among which the negative ion generator self-cleaning technology has reached the international leading level!
On January 19, 2024, the Guangdong Optoelectronics Technology Association held an online "Research and Product Development on Key Technologies for Improving Space Environmental Quality with light negative oxygen ions (LNOI)" Scientific and Technological Achievements Appraisal Meeting completed by Guangdong Kaisi Ouguang Health Co., Ltd., the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering of South China University of Technology, and Fuzhou University National Environmental Photocatalytic Engineering Technology Research Center.
The project reduces or even eliminates ozone produced by conventional negative ion generators by using LED light sources with built-in UVC bands in the negative ion generator to prevent ozone from harming human health; it develops moving parts controlled by electromagnets and motor-driven push-pull rods to achieve automated cleaning and release of negative ions. It measures environmental parameters through air quality sensors and (far infrared) human body temperature sensors, and automatically adjusts the power of the negative ion generator according to changes in the environment.
The project has obtained 3 authorized invention patents, 5 invention patents in the practical examination stage, 49 authorized utility model patents, published 1 technical paper, and took the lead in drafting "Exemplary Classroom Environmental Requirements and Detection Methods", "High-Quality Spectrum of Healthy Lighting Products" ( Healthy Light Index) Level Evaluation Technical Specifications, "Technical Specifications for Negative Ion Generator Module Performance Evaluation," and "Technical Requirements for LED Healthy Lighting Products with Negative Ion Generators" are 4 group standards. After appraisal, the appraisal expert committee unanimously believed that the comprehensive technical level of the project results has reached the international advanced level, among which the negative ion generator self-cleaning technology has reached the international leading level!
